This kit features a Lifting Body, wingless, glider originally designed by Dr.
Zooch Rockets' owner Wes Oleszewski back in 1977. Featured in his cartoon
strip "The Program" the SDW lifting body is lofted on a Space Shuttle style
booster. At ejection the lifting body deploys and returns to earth in a high
performance shuttle-style glide, while the booster returns by parachute. Best of
all, this kit includes a rubber-band launching system that allows you to test-fly
your lifting body before you launch it on the rocket. You can easily do dozens
of practice flights while you get your lifting body trimmed just right for the
big rocket flight! The kit also features Dr. Zooch's trademarked FlameFins
that can be removed so you can display the kit between flights.
